In the current scenario, we all witness the disruptions caused by Covid-19. Many lost their jobs or got furloughed since the job market went down. It’s the time which demands us to tighten our belts. We can’t come to a conclusion of how volatile the situation is until the Covid-19 persists. Since there is a whopping competition, you have to polish your skills. Keeping safety in concern, most of the companies are forced into work-from-home environments, what was once opposed by them is the only way to complete their tasks.

In the pre-COVID-19 scenario, there was a limited local talent pool for most jobs. Now the scenario is totally different. If you apply for a job, there would be another 1000 applicants trying for the same job. So, the competition became even tougher. There are a lot of candidates out there willing to work for a lower remuneration since being employed is the prime motto for them. As the proverb says, something is always better than nothing.

With no doubt, the only sector which demands manpower at this time is the health sector. Rest of all sectors’ job market is down. So, if you’re a person looking for a better career option, you can choose to pursue a course in the healthcare sector. It is the only sector which won’t get affected by any pandemic since a variety of diseases spring up every day.

Although it is tough to predict what a post-COVID-19 world may look like, we can assume that most of the employers may choose to downsize their employee strength and cut operational costs while utilizing digital methods to prevent future loss. Thus, being a job aspirant you are required to be thorough with the online platforms which are in the market now. Until we witness a post-COVID-19 world, it’s too soon to know for sure, but the job market is most certainly going to change forever. We have to adapt to the new normal.
