Women and Aviation Industry: Breaking Prejudices

The world is in a hurry, and tourism is developing day by day. Therefore, the aviation industry is flourishing and will continue to do so. With its growing demands, it has opened doors of opportunities for people to pursue a career. Graduating in an aviation course can bring you to many places and possibilities. You can prefer a BBA course in aviation and can further specialize in any desired fields. But, Is this industry good for both male and females? Is it a male-dominated industry? Well, No. Women are sprinting heights even higher than the sky in this era. The minds of women are growing much wider than ever.
The vast development occurred in aviation led to consider the potential quality of women to be a part of the field. The development demands for more employees and the pilot shortage has once and for all aided to examine the underrepresentation of women. They have once witnessed major milestones in the process of origin of aviation management. But they have been constantly shadowed by the prejudices of society. They are haunted by certain ‘if’ and ‘but’ by the patriarchy. But the need for more recruitment showed the capability of women to fill the void and were trained adequately to work even for the military.
The progression in the number of females in the aviation field is very promising. Considering the data from the past, the present has changed drastically and we can hope for a notable increase in the upcoming future. The growth of women participation in the aviation sector was not much of a linear graph. It had its ups and downs, gone through various setbacks before achieving a stronghold in the field.
Even after these struggles, they find it hard to be underrepresented in leadership roles and with low-income levels and low profile. It is feared that in the coming years, women will leave the aviation field due to the impossible ways to the advancement and existing prejudices. Luckily, the concepts are gradually changing and now the reports state that the participation of women in the industry has witnessed steady growth and things are getting better.
Women are becoming more ambitious and could never settle for any lesser compromises. This shed light on all sectors of the aviation industry and hoped for a better tomorrow. The time has passed to encourage the women in pursuing their desired careers to lead and undertake leadership responsibilities. This has to be done to maintain the balance for today and to ensure a better chance for the future.
There is never a proper and desirable time to opt for the aviation field. You can pursue your career in any field of the aviation industry. It was possible because of the continued efforts and alteration made in education and by breaking stereotypes. Fortunately, mow we can see more female members on board flying high as their dreams.
