What Is BVoc?
B.Voc is a work integrated degree program which is more focused on providing the
industry related skills to the students. It has been initiated by government to develop
skill India, therefore the main objective of this course is to prepare work ready force
immediately after graduation
The industries expect new employees/ freshers to possess all the practical skills they need before they start working. This course is therefore introduced by University Grants Commission to cater to this need of businesses and youth alike.

BVoc (Bachelor of Vocation) is a three-year duration course divided into six semesters. The course curriculum of BVoc is industry-based which contains about 40% General education (theory) and 60% vocational training (practical) components.
As per the UGC circular 2016, students with BVoc degree should be considered eligible for the competitive exams conducted by Union/State Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission or other such bodies where the eligibility criteria is "Bachelor Degree in any discipline".
One of the biggest advantages of pursuing BVoc against common degree courses is that a candidate has multiple exit points during the programme and continued industry exposure.
This means that if a candidate is unable to complete his/ her BVoc course, she/he has is still awarded a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma (or equivalent), in case of successfully completing the first and second year of the course
